📋 Description

• Maintain expertise in global regulations relevant to TOPPAN products, including food contact regulations, and regulations applicable to packaging for medical devices and pharmaceuticals • Support expanding business opportunities by researching and managing new regulatory topics • Communicate with suppliers to obtain accurate and complete regulatory documentation for raw materials • Document and communicate product compliance status to internal and external stakeholders • Respond to external inquiries to support customers in meeting compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, Prop 65, allergens, REACH, CONEG, chemicals of concern) • Support technical teams in identifying the need for third-party analytical testing (e.g., migration, extraction) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including R&D, Supply Management, Legal, Quality, and Sales—to provide regulatory guidance • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on TOPPAN products • Identify potential regulatory risks and support mitigation strategies • Track and anticipate substances of concern to customers and consumers • Represent TOPPAN at conferences as engaged and committed to food safety and compliance topics • Support Quality-led initiatives such as FSSC, plant-level audits and certifications, and FDA site registration • Provide ongoing education and training to regulatory team members

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years experience evaluating consumer packaging for regulatory compliance or related work • Educational background in a scientific discipline such as packaging engineering, chemistry, toxicology, or a related field • Expertise in regional food contact regulations, including those of the USA, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America, Asia. • Understanding of regional migration testing requirements • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
