📋 Description

• Hire, onboard, and grow a team of full-stack and backend engineers for a brand-new product • Run regular 1:1s, set clear goals, and give direct, useful feedback • Own team performance management, including calibration and difficult conversations • Partner with Product and Design to define and prioritize the Arcnine roadmap before and after launch • Guide architecture decisions for a real-time trading interface and execution systems • Review pull requests, weigh in on design documents, and unblock engineers on difficult problems • Own delivery through ambiguity, including sprint planning, progress tracking, and scope adjustment • Set testing, code quality, and CI/CD standards • Own production reliability and observability through launch, including incident response • Establish scalable engineering norms and practices for a new team • Contribute to engineering standards and hiring practices across Tradeify • Represent Arcnine’s progress, risks, and needs in cross-functional planning • Report to the CTO • Build Arcnine, Tradeify’s next trading platform, from the ground up through launch and early iteration

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience managing or leading engineers, in addition to hands-on engineering experience • Full-stack or backend engineering background • Frontend experience with React, Next.js, or Vue • Backend experience with Python, Node.js, C#, or Go • Experience with REST APIs and WebSocket-based, real-time services • Familiarity with relational and/or in-memory data stores such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB • Experience running production systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure with Docker/Kubernetes • Comfort building 0-to-1 in ambiguous or fast-changing product environments • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders including founders and traders • Background in fintech, trading, or crypto • Experience with real-time systems and event-driven architectures such as Kafka, NATS, or Pulsar • Familiarity with TimescaleDB or ClickHouse • Prior experience as an Engineering Manager on a pre-launch or early-stage product • Experience managing teams that use AI-assisted development tools day to day • Ability to work flexible hours to support collaboration across time zones, including the U.S. • Must answer whether visa sponsorship will be required to maintain work authorization in the country of employment • Must answer whether they have worked professionally for a proprietary trading firm
