📋 Description

• Commission, program, set up graphics and communications links, perform end-to-end testing, troubleshoot, and service assigned projects • Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and job closeout requirements • Serve as direct customer contact while servicing products and equipment on assigned projects • Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations • Coordinate with the team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements • Examine building layouts, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work • Maintain current knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control systems, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair • Enforce high safety standards • Maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and condition • Work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays • Dispatch from home most workdays and perform work on-site at customer locations

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school required • Typically requires at least 7 years of experience in HVAC/Controls • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software • Working proficiency with a handheld computer, such as a smartphone or iPad • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years • Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred • Must be able to safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seat belt • Must be able to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harnesses, and safety boots • Must be able to twist the trunk 90 degrees in each direction • Must be able to squat and touch the floor with both hands • Must be able to reach hands over the head • Must be able to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours • Regular use of hands and fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders • Regularly lift or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or move up to 40 lbs., and occasionally lift or move more than 40 lbs. • Must be able to safely use a ladder with a 375 lb. total weight limit while carrying equipment of 50 lbs. or less • Must be able to maneuver confined access areas as small as 30” vertical x 45” horizontal • Must be able to routinely access rooftops using extension and/or fixed ladders at heights of 15–20 feet and occasionally up to 50+ feet • Ability to work in variable weather, around moving mechanical parts, heights, electrical shock risks, noisy equipment, and other variable environmental conditions • Safety-sensitive role; may require additional drug screening
