📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction and lead development and execution of strategic plans • Build relationships with the Leadership Team and Board of Directors • Directly lead, facilitate, and supervise the Leadership Team • Foster a positive, affirming, inclusive organizational culture • Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, partner organizations, and community leaders • Establish effective decision-making at all levels • Help identify and recruit prospective board members and support Board goals • Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise a sustainable management structure for programs • Oversee development, management, and evaluation of Trans Lifeline’s programs • Lead the organization’s commitment to providing services to the BIPOC community • Oversee fundraising strategy, donor and funder relationships, major gifts, events, and revenue targets • Serve as primary spokesperson in media interviews, public speaking engagements, and public forums • Oversee communications, marketing, press strategies, and annual report development • Supervise the Administration Director and oversee day-to-day operations • Ensure fiscal soundness and clear communication of financial information • Develop position descriptions and performance review guidelines • Determine staff and contractor compensation and benefits with Finance and People & Culture teams

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership at a service-providing organization • Proven success in fundraising, communications, and strategic planning • Demonstrated experience with staff management • Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders • Experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote-work environment • Knowledge of and experience within direct-service crisis intervention, mental health, and/or social services sectors • Proficiency in or willingness to quickly learn Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, CRM/fundraising platforms, QuickBooks, and Bill.com • Ability to lead an inclusive workplace and work across differences in class, race, gender, sexuality, and other forms of diversity • Deep belief in and passion for the organization’s mission and values • Comprehensive understanding of current and historical issues relevant to the trans and GNC community • Strong written and verbal communication skills • High degree of emotional intelligence • Excellent communication and storytelling skills • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion • Ability to navigate conflict constructively and compassionately • Personal understanding of trans issues and history of leading transformative social justice initiatives
