📋 Description

• Perform internal audits of underwriting work • Ensure staff compliance with company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley, and standard industry practices • Provide assistance and training, and review the work of lower-level staff as needed • Trend and review mortality and morbidity experience specific to Life & Protection insurance markets • Serve as a Life & Protection liaison for the Medical Information Bureau (MIB) • Perform the annual MIB self-audit for all distribution groups • Review and report on contestable claims • Serve as a consultant to the Claims Department • Assist with projects and special assignments

🎯 Requirements

• Five years of underwriting experience with mortality and morbidity-based products • Two years of directly related auditing experience • Thorough knowledge of underwriting practices and industry standards • Knowledge of related Sarbanes-Oxley regulations • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills • Attention to detail and analytical skills to perform audit duties and interpret data • Ability to work on assigned audits independently • Ability to interpret a wide range of collected information • Preferred: underwriting audit and/or contestable claims experience • Preferred: FLMI and FALU certifications • Preferred: knowledge of Life & Protection products and distribution systems
