📋 Description

• Research, analyze, and resolve lab travel errors • Submit claims to appropriate payers for reimbursement when required • Enter detailed, accurate, and compliant account notes into the billing system • Maintain complete audit trails to support claim processing and reimbursement validation • Attach and maintain required documentation for compliance and audit readiness • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before claim submission • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and claim history records • Adhere to CMS, HIPAA, Medicare, and organizational compliance requirements • Collaborate with billing leadership and internal and external departments to improve operational efficiency and reimbursement outcomes • Maintain productivity, quality, and compliance standards established by management • Support coworkers, share best practices, and contribute to department goals • Perform other related duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • Basic computer skills required • Understanding of time zone differences • Attention to detail required • Ability to follow compliance guidelines • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with external and internal customers • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to a positive work environment • Proficiency in billing systems, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business applications • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of Excel preferred • Experience working with skilled nursing facilities and hospice providers preferred • Medicare billing experience is a plus but not required • Billing knowledge is a plus
