📋 Description

• Support the firm’s Finance Department with billing activities • Post time • Prepare files for billing • Generate pre-bills • Edit attorney time as directed • Review pre-bills for client guidelines and implementation • Process final billing • Create and maintain billing rates • Set up new files on electronic billing sites • Submit invoices to electronic billing sites • Edit text files and add timekeepers, budgets, and rates to billing sites • Review billing errors and update files accordingly

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in legal billing, preferably in a law firm setting • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, preferred • A combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered • Familiarity with electronic billing sites (LSS, Legal Exchange, Legal X/Allegient, Collaborati, Tymetrix, Serengeti, Collaboration, etc.), required • Experience with Aderant, preferred • Experience working with attorneys and clients • Experience maintaining accurate client matter information in a finance system • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate professionally across a wide range of audiences • Strong attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines • Ability to work remotely from New Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, or Delaware
