📋 Description

• Assist in developing and maintaining accurate financial information for assigned general ledger areas • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial statements for the Health Ministry • Apply problem-solving skills to healthcare financial operations and understand external, regulatory, payor, and other industry forces • Maintain awareness of new industry developments and standards • Lead and mentor staff and participate in staff development activities • Drive key accounting projects and support management as a thought leader • Establish and maintain relationships with Health Ministry, Service Area, Trinity Health, and related-entity leaders • Respond to requests for information and review financial records and statements • Implement agreed-upon audit recommendations • Prepare annual 990 and other tax returns and support community benefit reporting • Prepare sales and use tax, local personal property tax, escheatment, government survey, and other reports • Complete inter-company billing and cash transfers and reconcile inter-company balances • Partner with the Manager or Director of Finance to align financial operations with business priorities • Support the Finance Management team with reporting activities and coordinate financial operations and reporting resources • Maintain confidentiality, compliance, safe work practices, and organized workflows

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance • Minimum five (5) to seven (7) plus years’ experience • Experience working with various computer accounting systems • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite • Working knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local laws/regulations • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • CPA and healthcare exposure preferred, but not required • Treasury Accounting experience preferred, but not required
