• Lead the strategy, governance, and execution of the firm’s third party operational resilience capability • Design, implement, and enhance the Third Party Resilience Framework, policies, and standards • Establish governance structures, escalation pathways, reporting mechanisms, and accountability models • Report to executive leadership and governance committees on resilience posture, emerging risks, trends, and performance and risk indicators • Serve as primary contact for regulatory examinations, internal audits, and supervisory inquiries • Assess third party dependencies supporting critical business services, systems, and processes • Maintain an authoritative inventory of critical third party services and resilience attributes • Direct risk-based monitoring of third party resilience controls and performance • Integrate third party resilience insights into enterprise operational resilience reporting and risk appetite monitoring • Develop contingency, exit, and substitution strategies for critical third party services • Support third party participation in resilience testing, disaster recovery exercises, scenario analysis, and MVB simulations • Incorporate third party dependencies into Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Enterprise Incident Management planning • Oversee testing results, after-action reports, and remediation activities • Define and operationalize contractual resilience requirements with Procurement and Legal • Align resilience requirements with third party onboarding, reassessments, and monitoring processes • Provide subject matter expertise and challenge for arrangements that do not meet resilience expectations • Influence senior leadership to embed resilience into sourcing decisions, operating models, and service design • Collaborate with Technology, Cyber, Data, and Infrastructure teams • Promote accountability and ownership for third party resilience across the organization
• 15+ years of experience in operational resilience, third party risk management, business continuity, technology risk, or enterprise risk management • Experience preferably within a large, highly regulated financial institution • Strong working knowledge of regulatory expectations related to operational resilience and third party oversight, including FFIEC guidance and Federal Reserve supervisory standards • Proven experience designing, governing, or scaling enterprise-level risk or resilience programs • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior executives, regulators, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders • Strong leadership, communication, and influence skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience developing documentation and communications reports using diverse information sources and publishing to senior management, corporate risk groups, and regulators • Adaptability to large-scale changes in business processes and organizational structure • Comfort working in a complex matrix environment • Experience presenting to regulators including the Federal Reserve Board, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation • English language fluency required
