📋 Description

• Complete appointment request processes received through Epic, telephone, or fax for clinician-requested care • Facilitate patient access to Tufts Medicine primary and specialty care • Collect necessary demographic and financial information • Schedule services and handle referrals from primary care doctors • Demonstrate professionalism and empathy with patients and colleagues • Meet workload volume and completion-time goals • Ensure compliance with data-entry protocols and decision trees • Verify patient insurance coverage for specialist visits and diagnostic tests • Inform patients about referral appointments, including date, time, location, and special instructions • Meet required departmental competencies and organizational standards

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • One year (1) customer Service and/or Patient Experience • Ability to read and write in the English language • Experience with Excel, Word, Visio, and other Microsoft applications • Strong complex problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment • Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly in person and on the telephone • Saturday and Sunday, and 2 weekdays are required • Availability for 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST weekday shifts • Weekend availability between 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST • Ability to complete 2 weeks of full-time daytime training, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST • Preferred: Experience with Epic • Preferred: One (1) years’ experience in a medical office or healthcare access center
