📋 Description

• Support cost management services for large-scale corporate real estate, office, and workplace development projects • Advise clients on procurement strategies and manage vendor prequalification, proposals, bids, bid levelling, bid interviews, recommendations, and appointments • Manage project estimating for construction, fees, direct work, and other costs • Review junior team members’ estimates and present estimates, value engineering recommendations, and risk assessments to clients • Meet vendors to review, validate, and challenge costs; benchmark estimates against data from other projects • Establish cost-reporting schedules and review and present cost reports and forecasts • Review project budgets and spending forecasts with clients; maintain commercial risk registers • Host periodic meetings with project teams and vendors • Manage cost control, payment application assessments, contractor entitlements, change orders, payment requisitions, and contractual disputes • Manage and monitor invoicing • Benchmark performance against successful commissions • Manage final accounting, post-contract audits, and account closeouts • Conduct post-contract reviews, document lessons learned, and create training materials • Develop project handover procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a field related to construction • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry • RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable • Experience supporting cost management on medium or large-sized commercial, corporate interiors, workplace, office, or regional hub construction projects • Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering • Strong communication skills • Ability to use or prepare Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, Cost Estimating Software, and Take-off Software • Must adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable
