📋 Description

• Develop compelling case themes • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials • Manage full case handling, including all facets of discovery and trial • Handle habitability claims, landlord-tenant disputes, premises-related issues, general negligence, personal injury, and other civil litigation • Work as part of a team across experience levels • Communicate routinely with clients • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys • Participate in weekly case and strategy meetings • Engage in individual case strategy discussions and coordinate with support staff • Take ownership of cases and develop trial skills

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an ABA approved school • Active California Bar license; must be licensed in the State of California • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred, but not required • Experience with time management systems • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills • Professional appearance and demeanor • Experience in landlord-tenant litigation, habitability, real estate litigation, premises liability, general liability, personal injury, or related civil litigation particularly valuable • Plaintiff-side litigation experience accepted; defense-side experience is not required
