📋 Description

• Develop a compelling case theme against plaintiff sympathy or anger tactics • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials • Work as part of a team across experience levels • Communicate routinely with clients • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys • Manage high-exposure litigation cases and full case-handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial • Lead and mentor junior attorneys and staff

🎯 Requirements

• Active bar license in the State of Texas is required • JD from an ABA-approved school • Must be licensed in your state • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation • Significant civil litigation and trial experience; first- or second-chair experience strongly preferred • Ability to manage full case-handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial • Experience handling insurance defense matters; excess insurance space/commercial litigation experience preferred • Experience with time management systems • Skilled in taking and defending expert depositions • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys and staff • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills • Professional appearance and demeanor • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
