• Develop and manage a pipeline of new healthcare merchant payment opportunities through prospecting, referrals, portfolio reviews, industry events, and strategic partnerships • Lead consultative discovery conversations about clients’ payment acceptance, processing, funding, reconciliation, security, and reporting across in-person, online, mobile, recurring, and integrated channels • Assess merchant acquiring, gateways, point-of-sale solutions, card and ACH acceptance, tokenization, funding, chargebacks, fraud controls, PCI compliance, data security, integrations, and reporting • Evaluate healthcare workflows including patient collections, pre-service and point-of-care payments, post-visit balances, card-on-file, payment plans, text-to-pay, online bill pay, auto-posting, reconciliation, and practice management/EHR/EMR/revenue-cycle integrations • Design and present tailored payment strategies to improve revenue growth, receivables, operational efficiency, patient experiences, staff experiences, and banking relationship value • Coordinate with product, pricing, underwriting, risk, technical, implementation, service, and banking partners from discovery through onboarding, activation, and ongoing relationship management • Build relationships with Healthcare Relationship Managers, Business Bankers, Treasury Management partners, branches, and referral sources • Prepare proposals, demonstrations, business cases, and executive presentations • Maintain opportunity, activity, pipeline, and forecast information in Salesforce or designated systems • Meet or exceed goals for revenue, sales, approvals, activations, relationship expansion, client retention, and partner engagement • Stay current on healthcare market trends, payment technologies, competitors, regulatory expectations, network rules, and emerging payment methods • Manage client and bank information responsibly and comply with applicable laws, regulations, risk standards, and internal policies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience • Five or more years of experience in merchant acquiring, payment processing, treasury management, financial services, healthcare technology, or consultative business-to-business sales • Demonstrated experience developing new business, managing a sales pipeline, and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities • Strong understanding of the end-to-end payments ecosystem, including acquiring, issuing, card networks, gateways, processors, independent software vendors, payment facilitators, point-of-sale solutions, digital wallets, ACH, settlement, funding, reconciliation, interchange, authentication, fraud, chargebacks, and data security • Ability to travel within the assigned market or nationally as business needs require • Estimated travel of 25% or more for meetings and presentations that may require an in-person meeting • Seven or more years of relevant payments, banking, or financial technology experience preferred • Healthcare payments or healthcare financial services experience strongly preferred • Working knowledge of patient payment and revenue cycle workflows, practice management systems, EHR/EMR platforms, ERP solutions, healthcare integrations, and automated posting and reconciliation preferred • Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI DSS, tokenization, encryption, and point-to-point encryption preferred • Experience selling integrated, omnichannel, or software-enabled payment solutions preferred • Strong financial and analytical skills, including reviewing processing statements, evaluating pricing, quantifying savings, identifying workflow efficiencies, and building value propositions preferred • Excellent client-facing communication, discovery, negotiation, presentation, and executive relationship-management skills preferred • Proven ability to work across sales, product, technology, implementation, operations, service, risk, and banking teams preferred • Position requires 10 or more hours of driving per week in the local market • Applicants must comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
