📋 Description

• Act as a technical leader responsible for the full scope of protective relay settings and coordination study design, development, and implementation • Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work • Perform short-circuit and symmetrical component analysis • Perform time-current coordination and step-distance coordination • Develop and coordinate relay settings • Develop test plans and assist with commissioning • Analyze and troubleshoot protection system events • Develop NERC PRC compliance reports • Develop protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable energy sources • Provide technical guidance to other engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required • ABET accredited program or equivalent required • PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year required • 4+ years of engineering experience • Proven experience with system modeling and fault analysis software, including ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, or EasyPower • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access • Strong knowledge of system modeling, relay coordination studies, and protective relay settings for systems from 12.47 kV to 345 kV • Experience applying protection system engineering practices in transmission line, bus, transformer, capacitor bank, reactor bank, feeder, generator, motor, or communication-assisted protection schemes • Familiarity with NERC PRC standards for compliance • Ability to work in a high-paced team environment • Valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain before starting • Permanent authorization to work in the US
