📋 Description

• Provide ongoing systems administration support for Linux environments across multiple locations • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, applications, and connectivity components • Provide technical support and advise on programming tools, database systems, and networks • Remediate daily incident tickets and address system compliance and reliability issues • Enhance system runs, testing, staging, policies, and procedures • Coordinate client contact and provide operational recommendations • Lead Linux systems strategy across the company • Design highly available Linux and Unix infrastructure and reduce reliance on planned maintenance windows • Validate Linux solutions against disaster recovery objectives • Lead Systems Administration across the account, including allocating work and guiding less experienced team members • Align systems design and strategy with corporate business requirements • Assess and document current-state Linux and Unix solution architectures • Design and recommend high-availability solutions using Red Hat clustering, KVM, and AIX/Unix environments • Develop migration strategies, implementation roadmaps, and bills of materials • Integrate proposed Linux solutions with the Disaster Recovery practice • Collaborate with account teams on operational knowledge and transition planning • Participate in design reviews and maintain DR documentation, runbooks, and supporting artifacts • Support planned disaster recovery testing • Monitor and evaluate Linux DR infrastructure capacity across on-premises and cloud environments

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required • BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience • Expert-level expertise in Linux systems administration and enterprise infrastructure design • Proven ability to lead technical teams and advise across the organization on complex, business-critical issues • Experience with Red Hat Linux, including KVM and clustering • Experience with AIX • Familiarity with Unix • Familiarity with VMware • Familiarity with disaster recovery and high availability in cloud environments — Oracle OCI and Microsoft Azure • Applicant should be eligible for any required U.S. Government export-control authorizations
