📋 Description

• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with patient advocacy groups, professional medical societies, healthcare professionals, and other external stakeholders • Develop and implement strategies aligned with business objectives, therapeutic area priorities, and patient and healthcare professional needs • Support educational initiatives addressing gaps within assigned therapeutic areas • Collaborate with marketing, clinical development, medical affairs, public policy, and compliance teams • Attend patient advocacy and medical society meetings and events and report actionable insights internally • Represent patients and the patient advocacy function in cross-functional team meetings • Identify collaboration opportunities involving patient registries, app technology, patient surveys, and related initiatives • Collaborate with patients on editorial and short-form publications highlighting the patient experience • Capture feedback from patients and caregivers through advisory panels, surveys, and qualitative medical research • Adhere to patient advocacy compliance documents and standard operating procedures; write, edit, and approve internal documents • Develop understanding of FDA guidance on patient-focused drug development and patient preference research; educate colleagues through training • Establish leadership presence in patient advocacy and connect with internal and external stakeholders • Serve as project manager over assigned areas

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in customer-facing roles, or Master's Degree with 3+ years of such experience, or PhD or PharmD • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks • Exceptional empathy and thoughtfulness when supporting and collaborating with patients • Ability to be proactive, resourceful, and show initiative • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, Skype, Zoom, or other online meeting platforms • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and practices • Ability to travel up to 30% • Preferred: Master's Degree in a related field, PhD, or PharmD • Preferred: 2+ years of experience leading or supporting patient advocacy initiatives and/or medical society engagement
