📋 Description

• Process all incoming referrals • Schedule patient appointments for all visit types • Contact patients via phone, email, patient portal, or another secure approved method regarding referrals and appointments • Manage rescheduling, cancellations, and no-shows • Follow referral process protocols to ensure timely patient communication • Collect and accurately document patient information according to documentation requirements • Answer incoming calls and emails and address appointment questions and referring-provider information requests • Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards • Act as a liaison between the Patient Service Center, referring physician practices, and hospitals • Participate in staff meetings as directed by management • Engage in marketing activities as directed by the Patient Service Center Manager • Cross-train and perform phone triage, check-in/check-out, scheduling, pre-certification, and medical-records functions • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • Must be computer literate with demonstrated ability to operate healthcare information systems and multiple Microsoft Office applications • 2-3 years of specialty clinic experience preferred • Gastroenterology experience preferred • Bilingual skills preferred • Travel required as business needs dictate • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening • Must comply with HIPAA requirements and maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information
