• Supervise reimbursement and administrative work coordinating program services, quality assurance, and personnel services • Coach and mentor subordinates; conduct counseling, performance appraisals, conflict resolution, and schedule adherence management • Act as liaison between the Program Manager and team • Keep the Program Manager informed on all program aspects • Plan daily schedules, assign tasks, and ensure daily goals are met • Submit daily and weekly productivity reports at team and employee levels • Direct daily reimbursement support according to the statement of work • Evaluate program needs and recommend process and workflow improvements • Follow program guidelines and assist with process improvement implementation • Advocate for patients and healthcare professionals regarding insurance coverage, medical billing, reimbursement, and access to complex pharmaceuticals • Perform insurance benefit investigations, communicate coverage, guide prior authorizations, and assist with appeals • Advise patients and providers on coverage and reimbursement strategies and assess reimbursement options • Build relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and client contacts • Prepare for and participate in client audits • Coordinate with inter-departmental stakeholders to resolve escalations, conflicts, and questions • Resolve complex reimbursement issues autonomously as first-line escalation • Conduct quality assurance reviews, meetings, and reporting in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements • Identify and report pharmacovigilance information, including adverse events • Participate in and conduct meetings • Ensure corporate training deadlines and SOP compliance • Perform additional assigned tasks and projects
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of reimbursement/insurance, healthcare billing, physician office, or health insurance processing preferred, or in lieu of a degree, a High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of such experience • 3–5 years supervisory experience preferred, with progressive levels of responsibility within a service-driven environment • Extensive knowledge of pharmacy benefit methodologies • Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer payment methodologies • Initiative and strong work ethic • Ability to lead within a fluid and dynamic environment • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills • Attention to detail • Strong organizational and communication skills • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy preferred • Flexibility to travel as needed preferred • Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen
