📋 Description

• Contribute to research, development, and sustainment of mission-focused software applications, backend services, APIs, data processing workflows, and analytical capabilities • Assist in designing analytic solutions that meet customer needs • Enhance existing analytic solutions for quality and performance • Integrate data from multiple sources to create a common operating picture • Select and implement statistical analyses and scoring metrics to evaluate algorithm performance • Create training and test datasets from multiple sources • Perform data cleansing, validation, and ETL functions • Produce analytic reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders • Implement data visualization for analysis, presentation, and end-user UI needs • Perform feature engineering, classifier optimization, event forecasting, and anomaly detection • Interface with external stakeholders to define data science mission needs • Document data science processes, results, and approaches • Select and implement machine learning algorithms • Troubleshoot defects, improve performance, contribute to code reviews and technical documentation, and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, analysts, and customer stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a US citizen • Must hold an active U.S. Government security clearance • Ability to obtain CBP/DHS suitability clearance • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline; 4 additional years of experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree • Working knowledge of Python and libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and scipy • Willingness to work remotely or at a nearby Vantor facility and communicate via video calls • Experience processing, cleaning, or analyzing time series and/or geospatial data • Familiarity with machine learning techniques for time series and/or geospatial data • Strong statistical background in statistical testing, regression, and probability • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and HDFS • Preferred: Current Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability • Preferred: Agile software development practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and git • Preferred: Spatiotemporal data, algorithm performance scoring, data visualization, model feasibility research, algorithm development, machine learning algorithms, current industry trends, and deep learning technologies including Pytorch, Keras, and Tensorflow
