📋 Description

• Elicit requirements and create specifications for business intelligence solutions • Design, architect, and implement complex reporting and BI solutions • Develop data visualizations, ETL systems, ad hoc queries, reports, data extracts, and master data management solutions • Interface with functional teams to support BI solution delivery • Proactively identify needs and issues, develop strategies, and implement technical and process solutions • Lead large, complex, or specialized BI projects • Serve as subject matter expert for complex BI solutions • Mentor and train BI developers and customers • Interpret business issues and recommend best practices • Perform BI requirements analysis, design, and implementation • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Analyst to define requirements and obtain end-user sign-off • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with the Analytics Tester and development team • Implement final BI solutions and obtain end-user satisfaction • Follow change-control procedures and write technical documentation • Monitor supported systems’ health and performance and identify potential service problems • Participate in professional development activities • Develop and execute security standards for BI development • Protect confidential healthcare information and comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and applicable state laws • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related business field required • 5–7 years of development experience with a computer industry-related degree • 5–7 years of development experience in a healthcare or insurance-related environment with any bachelor’s degree • Degrees other than those listed may be accepted with significant related work experience • Extensive development, architecture, and configuration skills in Microsoft SQL Server • Extensive experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) • Expert-level competence with Microsoft T-SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures • High-level competence with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) • Proven experience developing BI solutions, including reports, ETL, data visualizations, and data extracts • Experience gathering business and technical requirements and documenting specifications • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell • High computer literacy with Office365, Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Skype • Experience using a source code control system required; Git experience desirable • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred • Experience working within an agile development process preferred • Strong BI solution development knowledge and experience • Ability to meet development commitments and manage expectations • Ability to analyze end-user needs and recommend process improvements • Ability to understand business processes and interact with internal customers and peers • Strong interpersonal, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, and team-building skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proven problem-solving and debugging ability • Ability to work independently and as a strong team player • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects • Integrity and decision-making skills to protect confidential personal health information • Must complete training and observe laws governing confidential healthcare information and PHI • Must sign a confidentiality statement • Must live in NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, or FL
