📋 Description

• Build and own the financial model, including budget, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning across revenue, headcount, and spend • Partner with department leads on budget-to-actuals, headcount planning, and spend reviews • Own the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, and deliver accurate financials on a predictable timeline • Maintain GAAP-compliant books and partner with outside accountants and auditors as Vesta scales • Run AP, AR, and cash operations, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, and day-to-day cash flow monitoring • Evaluate and implement finance tooling as the company outgrows spreadsheets • Build documented processes for close, forecasting, and reporting • Serve as Vesta's first dedicated finance hire and build the finance function during significant growth

🎯 Requirements

• Finance generalist comfortable closing the books and building board-level financial models • Ability to own the books end to end • Experience with budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning across revenue, headcount, and spend • Experience with budget-to-actuals, headcount planning, and spend reviews • Experience with monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals • Knowledge of GAAP-compliant bookkeeping • Experience with outside accountants and auditors • Ability to run AP, AR, and cash operations • Ability to evaluate and implement finance tooling and build documented processes • Optional: Experience at a high-growth, venture-backed SaaS company • Optional: Fluency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or comparable finance tooling and BI/spreadsheet tools • Optional: Experience supporting a fundraise or board reporting directly • Optional: Mortgage, fintech, or B2B SaaS experience • Must reside in the United States
