📋 Description

• Oversee Village Capital’s finance and operations department and ensure financial health, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency • Develop and implement automated systems and processes for accurate and timely financial data collection, analysis, and reporting • Oversee monthly and annual financial statements, dashboards, projections, investment and grant pipeline data, and financial performance tracking • Manage year-end close, annual budgeting, financial planning, audits, tax filings, and program-specific audits • Develop and operate cash strategy, manage restricted and unrestricted assets, and oversee fiscal sponsorships, re-grants, and pass-through funds • Develop product and service financial models, pricing, and budgeting • Build and oversee an integrated back office supporting re-grants, direct investments, and investment structures • Support creation of investment vehicles and ongoing fund administration • Maintain internal controls, regulatory compliance, investment tax oversight, corporate administration, contracts, legal services, recordkeeping, and regulatory filings • Oversee IT strategy, technology budget, and IT personnel • Ensure employment-law and statutory compliance across operating countries, including GEO/PEO relationships and international payroll • Build and supervise finance, fund administration, and human resources teams • Oversee banking operations, third-party finance providers, procurement, contracting, systems, and administrative processes • Support the CEO and Board Treasurer, co-lead the Board Finance Committee, prepare meeting materials and reports, and present quarterly financial results • Design, manage, and evolve Village Capital’s business and revenue diversification models

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field • 7–10+ years of financial management experience • Experience with highly diversified revenue streams and investment management • 2–3 years in a senior managerial role • Experience supervising teams and third-party providers • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Ability to build and implement efficient finance and grant-reporting systems • Experience collaborating with diverse teams to streamline financial systems for a complex business model • Expertise in accounting, financial planning, and operations management • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to build financial projections and financial models • Proficiency in technology, data management, and financial software • Working knowledge of human resources operations, organizational development, compensation structures, performance management, and employment compliance • Ability to critically engage with AI use cases, limitations, and firm-wide AI policy development • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting financial and operational concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred • Fundraising track record and complex external stakeholder relationship management preferred • Experience raising pre-seed, seed, or Series A rounds welcomed • Commitment to community-based decision-making and community-centered approaches
