📋 Description

• Support implementation and administration of quality programs, including GMPs, Good Hygiene Practices, HACCP, Allergen Control, Cleaning and Sanitation, Pest Control, Equipment Calibration, and Organic Certification • Support development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System • Supervise and direct hourly quality crew members, including payroll, work assignments, evaluations, and coaching • Perform beginning- and end-of-shift facility walk-throughs and audits • Identify improvement opportunities and make recommendations for quality and work efficiency • Review Production Batch Records and manufacturing documents for compliance and recordkeeping • Audit raw materials, packaging components, labels, and finished products against specifications and regulatory standards • Coordinate testing results and material release and hold programs • Oversee the “On Hold” product program, including release and destruction of rejected products • Investigate and correct quality-related issues, including customer complaints, with other departments • Plan, manage, and direct plant sanitation procedures, programs, and regulatory requirements • Collaborate with ECS leadership on quality, sanitation improvements, cleaning chemicals, and schedules • Mentor, motivate, train, and develop crew members; communicate standards and address performance concerns • Ensure crew members have the resources and capabilities to perform their responsibilities • Lead sanitation activities on the assigned shift and maintain knowledge of cleaning chemicals, seven sanitation steps, ATP verification, and environmental monitoring • Partner with operations and sanitation teams to verify cleaning effectiveness, investigate deficiencies, and implement corrective actions • Monitor microbiological reports and implement corrective action as necessary • Maintain and record company KPIs • Participate in regulatory, third-party, and customer audits, inspections, and corrective-action responses • Verify reporting accuracy against the Quality Dashboard and inventory management system • Maintain accurate quality training records • Assist with assigned projects

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Quality and Manufacturing • Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices, preferably 21CFR Part 117, and food safety • HACCP certification and PCQI certification are preferred • Allergen Control training, 21CFR Part 117 training certification, and SQF Systems training are preferred • Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 118 shell eggs and egg products requirements is preferred • Understanding of quality testing within the food manufacturing industry • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and make effective decisions • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications and computer-based applications • Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail • Ability to effectively communicate ideas verbally and in writing, be a self-starter, and handle difficult situations • Teamwork-oriented mindset • Willingness to act like an owner, improve continuously, understand others’ viewpoints, and have honest conversations
