📋 Description

• Lead data science product development and set standards, best practices, and innovation for the data science CoE • Experiment, build, and integrate data science solutions into core business processes and new opportunities • Define and continuously improve the machine learning environment • Develop and deploy AI models that impact business decisions • Establish model management, peer review, privacy, ethics, bias, governance, and compliance practices • Introduce relevant data science techniques, algorithms, and tools to the team • Provide technical oversight, assistance, and mentorship to junior data scientists • Apply model testing and tuning techniques to assess accuracy, fit, validity, and robustness • Innovate new machine learning methods and drive change throughout the business • Maintain code documentation and playbooks and provide timely progress updates • Generate compelling hypotheses to drive new business creation • Collaborate with product owners, product managers, and business units to co-create scalable AI solutions • Research data sources and analytical tools and contribute to application development and data quality improvement • Establish performance tracking, identify improvement opportunities, and design and implement tests to optimize strategy

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a similar quantitative field • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a similar quantitative field • 12+ years of data and analytics work experience, including 8+ years in data science • 7+ years using methods and tools to extract, curate, explore, and analyze data from large data sources • 7+ years developing, integrating, and deploying machine learning solutions into business decision-making processes • 7+ years leveraging algorithms, tuning parameters, and performing back-testing validation • 5+ years leading machine learning project development • Proven track record of successful model development and quantifiable business impact • Thorough knowledge of traditional machine learning and generative AI models • Extensive experience with model evaluation, A/B testing, and causal analysis • Ability to translate business requirements into impactful, scalable AI solutions • Ability to use analytical techniques to solve challenging business problems • Ability to research and enable new quantitative techniques and technologies • Ability to collaborate with different business units to co-create solutions • Ability to establish performance tracking, formulate hypotheses, and design and implement tests • Superior ability to communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical users in written and verbal form
