📋 Description

• Prepare and review legal entity financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and Proxy / SAI investment fund data • Lead compliance with applicable regulatory bodies related to the firm’s financial policies, CT Banking Examiners, Department of Labor, and others • Represent Voya IM before external constituencies and committees of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors • Respond to external, internal, and department audits • Oversee accounting and reporting for annual incentive compensation, deferred compensation plans, equity-based compensation arrangements, and long-term incentive programs • Ensure appropriate accrual methodologies and compliance with applicable accounting guidance • Partner with HR, Payroll, Compensation, and Finance teams to support accurate accounting and reporting • Coordinate between Voya Financial and Voya IM to achieve consistent and transparent accounting and financial operations • Assist in maintaining effective internal financial controls in compliance with US GAAP, SOX, policies and procedures, and legal or statutory requirements • Establish working relationships with operational leadership and internal/external auditors • Manage workload distribution and prioritization to ensure timely deliverables • Establish performance expectations and support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and feedback • Drive talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives • Perform other duties and assignments as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business/Administration • 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience in a complex operation, particularly within financial reporting, expense management, and monthly ledger closes • 5 years of experience managing a corporate project, function or division • Experience leading process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives • Comprehensive knowledge of current generally accepted accounting and financial reporting standards • Must meet qualifications to sit for the FINRA Series 27 Exam • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues and key stakeholders • CPA and/or MBA preferred • Public accounting experience is strongly preferred • Financial services, asset management, insurance, or investment management industry experience highly preferred • Oracle General Ledger, including expense allocation module • Microsoft Suite Products
