📋 Description

• Lead assigned structural steel erection projects from turnover through final completion • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and project stakeholders • Coordinate field operations, engineering, safety, quality, and accounting • Establish project objectives and communicate expectations to the project team • Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and profitability • Prepare monthly cost projections and financial forecasts • Review and approve project-related expenditures and address financial risks • Ensure contract compliance and manage subcontract agreements and supplier commitments • Negotiate change orders and manage RFIs, submittals, and contract correspondence • Maintain accurate project documentation • Develop project execution plans and coordinate engineering deliverables and procurement • Monitor schedule performance and implement recovery plans • Coordinate manpower requirements with General Superintendents • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned projects • Conduct regular project review meetings with customers and foster long-term relationships • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate significant issues • Support safety and quality compliance with company standards • Lead and develop project team members and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers • Foster collaboration between office and field personnel and promote Walters Core Values

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience • 7+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in structural steel, industrial, or heavy commercial construction • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software • Experience managing structural steel erection projects preferred • Knowledge of crane operations and heavy lifting preferred • Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP preferred • Experience working with union labor preferred • OSHA 30 certification preferred
