📋 Description

• Sell and support Wastequip's Parts & Service Product Lines under the Wastebuilt and Wastequip WRX brands • Serve all customer types in an assigned customer territory • Promote Wastequip as a company • Identify cross-selling opportunities for Containers & Trucks and other divisions • Call on existing customers on a set route schedule • Cold call to develop new customers • Identify and solve customer problems • Follow up tenaciously and maintain and grow the existing customer base • Provide outstanding customer and product support • Build relationships with account contacts and convert prospects to customers • Minimize competitive losses while maximizing growth opportunities • Implement programs involving new products and suppliers with Sales & Marketing initiatives • Identify and participate in regional/domestic trade shows and association events • Travel, including semi-frequent overnight stays

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in sales (especially route sales) or customer service preferred • Waste industry and/or similar industries such as Heavy Equipment preferred • Mechanical aptitude required; experience related to heavy-duty truck maintenance preferred • Minimum High School Diploma; formal education a plus but not required; work experience may substitute for education • 2+ years of Outside sales experience • Spanish language skills are a benefit but not a must have • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time • Knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems ideally including Waste Management equipment • Mechanical knowledge helpful • Ability to build professional relationships and rapport with account contacts • Ability to learn a broad range of products and services • Ability to understand and articulate competitive advantages • Attention to detail and ability to multitask • Effective interpersonal, communication, and time management skills • Effective problem-solving, business decision-making, pattern recognition, and memory skills • Ability to implement programs involving new products and/or suppliers • Ability to identify and participate in regional/domestic trade shows and association events
