📋 Description

• Build comprehensive donor proposal budgets • Lead financial reporting across the full grant lifecycle • Manage how grant revenues and expenses are matched and tracked through Water.org's funding map • Maximize fiscal sustainability and inform long-term financial strategy • Conduct monthly grant expense reviews • Oversee audit preparation • Ensure adherence to donor restrictions and internal financial policies • Serve as a financial liaison across Revenue, FP&A, Accounting, and Global Program teams • Translate complex grant structures into guidance on budgets, coding, and cost categories • Identify workflow efficiencies • Leverage financial systems and AI tools to improve data integrity • Build technical solutions that strengthen grant portfolio management

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and/or equivalent relevant work experience • Four or more years of financial management experience, including financial analysis of budgets, forecasts, planning, reporting, and accounting • Strong understanding of grant financial principles and administration • Proficient in English, both written and verbal • Hands-on experience building and managing grant budgets • Foundational accounting knowledge, including debits/credits, reconciliations, and net asset schedules • Advanced Excel proficiency • Ability to independently build and troubleshoot complex financial analyses and models across large datasets • Up to 5% domestic and international travel
