📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship features across the Accolade platform end to end • Write, review, and ship high-quality, well-tested production code • Conduct code reviews and perform pragmatic refactoring • Build and maintain containerized services and contribute to deployment pipelines • Apply security, observability, and resilience practices • Debug and resolve complex production issues across the stack • Evaluate and responsibly adopt emerging technologies, especially AI and agentic systems • Establish AI-first development practices across coding, testing, documentation, design, and debugging • Design and build developer-facing agents and reusable skills • Shape prompting, agent chaining, and evaluation practices • Share AI development learnings through documentation, examples, and demos • Build safe and reliable agentic capabilities into the Accolade product • Collaborate with Product and Design on AI opportunities, feasibility, risk, and prototypes • Break complex problems into scoped deliverable work and help maintain the backlog • Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps • Mentor engineers on cloud-native patterns, system design, and AI-first practices • Contribute to engineering culture, metrics, and software development improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development tools, including understanding their strengths, failure modes, and appropriate limits • Experience building and orchestrating agents, including agent loops, context and memory, multi-step pipelines, and graceful failure handling • Ability to define reusable skills with clear interfaces and predictable behavior • Prompt engineering skills, including structured prompting, output validation, and iterative refinement • Experience evaluating agent behavior and building evaluations • Ability to identify suitable and unsuitable workflow areas for automation or AI assistance • Strong command of containerization and orchestration • Experience with major cloud platforms and managed services • Infrastructure as code experience • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines • Practical distributed systems experience, including service communication, event-driven patterns, observability, and fault tolerance • Expertise in C#/.NET, including platform internals, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization • Experience designing and implementing APIs with ASP.NET Core, REST, versioning, and middleware • Relational database design, ORM usage, and T-SQL query optimization • Front-end development with React and TypeScript • Proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS • Performance profiling across server and client layers • Comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing • Security fundamentals, secure coding, secrets management, and common vulnerability classes • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to translate technical trade-offs for technical and non-technical partners • Ability to work in a highly agile environment and adapt to changing priorities • Strong ownership, proactive approach, and accountability for outcomes
