WES offers credential assessment reports (including ECAs for Canadian immigration), digital tools like iGPA and AccessWES, research and policy work, and social impact programs and philanthropy aimed at improving economic inclusion and workforce pathways for newcomers.

📋 Description

• Support WES’ 100% mission-aligned investment portfolio, including catalytic and thematic investing strategies • Develop investment pipelines and conduct market research to identify investment opportunities • Conduct financial, strategic, and impact investment due diligence • Structure investment tools including debt, equity, guarantees, and recoverable grants • Perform investment analysis, financial modeling, benchmarking, portfolio monitoring, forecasting, and trend analysis • Prepare screening and investment memos, dashboards, reports, and decision-making materials • Contribute to WES’ investment strategy with the Investments team, leadership, and Board • Improve investment processes, including pipeline management, diligence frameworks, portfolio monitoring, valuation, and reporting systems • Manage project management and CRM systems and track portfolio milestones and goals • Support portfolio monitoring, valuation, performance reporting, cash and investment reviews, and risk assessments • Act as an internal resource and connector for impact investing across WES departments • Develop and execute knowledge management strategies integrating investment activities and insights • Support department leadership and management with ad hoc administrative work • Facilitate learning, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership among investee partners and the broader field

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience • 2+ years of related work experience or 1 year of work experience • Experience in impact investing or an adjacent field such as venture capital, venture philanthropy, private equity, community development financing, fund investments, social enterprise development, investment banking, and/or private debt • Strong analytical and data management skills • Project management experience • Ability to work with financial statements and conduct portfolio analysis • Experience building financial models • Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and OneDrive • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems • Experience with Tableau and Google Apps • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to build trust with diverse stakeholder groups • Commitment to WES’ mission, trust-based investing, and JEDI • MBA or Master’s degree in a related field desired • Willingness to travel as needed to meet partners, attend conferences, and visit WES’ NYC and Toronto offices periodically
