📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of divisional and regional operations leaders • Oversee operational performance for approximately 75+ veterinary hospitals and a $250M–$300M P&L • Drive sustainable growth and profitability • Partner with hospital leadership to strengthen team engagement, physician relationships, and talent retention • Champion company culture and develop teams through coaching, mentorship, and leadership programs • Instill accountability and service excellence across teams • Integrate acquired practices with minimal disruption • Set, manage, and exceed financial objectives • Track key metrics and performance indicators • Optimize volume growth, service mix, customer service, pricing, and margins • Manage overall P&L and create near- and long-term value • Partner with marketing, recruiting, HR, business development, and finance and accounting on strategic programs • Develop capital budgets for the $250 million+ portfolio and monitor ROI analyses • Identify infrastructure needs and drive improvements across sites • Support operational best practices and enterprise objectives • Identify, evaluate, and execute growth opportunities, including DVM acquisition/hiring, new services, facility expansions, relocations, new site development, and strategic partnerships • Report to and partner with the Chief Operating Officer and executive leadership team

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of multi-site experience in fast-growth healthcare services, restaurant, or retail businesses, including experience managing a business of similar size and complexity • Experience building multi-site or multi-state businesses through acquisition, organic growth, and de novos • Ability to analyze and assess complex and ambiguous data using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau • Experience with budgeting, staffing, ROI analysis, and margin improvement • Willingness to spend time in the field visiting and supporting regional leaders and affiliated veterinary practices • Strong active listening skills • Ability to implement processes and collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer • Ability to lead through influence rather than authority in a decentralized environment • Highly organized and detail-oriented work ethic • Ability to collaborate with practice-level and corporate team members • Strong executive presence • Frequent collaboration and coordination with stakeholders at all levels, including the Board of Directors, a plus • Bachelor’s degree required • Approximately 50% airline or overnight travel
