📋 Description

• Ensure customer payments are applied accurately and promptly to accounts based on SLOs • Process and record ACH, wire, and lockbox payments • Reconcile payment discrepancies with Receivables, Customer Service, and internal stakeholders • Process adjustments, write-offs, and refunds • Research accounting processes and reconcile bank-account discrepancies against system data • Support the Team Leader in creating, maintaining, and executing controlled accounting processes and procedures • Participate in ad hoc projects • Train other AR Specialists • Maintain advanced knowledge of systems and processes across multiple lines of business • Maintain process documentation • Monitor shared accounting inboxes, research inquiries, and communicate findings within established turnaround times • Prepare and record Operating Cash journal entries • Analyze monthly financial data for business review reporting • Adhere to organizational security policies and HIPAA regulations • Identify and integrate AI and automation opportunities to improve scale, reduce manual work, and mitigate operational risks

🎯 Requirements

• Process and record multiple payment types, including ACH, wires, and lockbox activity • Knowledge of accounting processes and bank-account reconciliation • Ability to reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve misapplied payments • Knowledge of adjustments, write-offs, and refunds • Advanced knowledge of systems and processes across multiple lines of business • Ability to prepare and record Operating Cash journal entries • Ability to analyze monthly financial data for business review reporting • Ability to maintain accurate process documentation • Ability to comply with organizational security policies and HIPAA regulations • Ability to identify and use AI and automation technologies in operational processes
