📋 Description

• Provide leadership for the primary Customer Sponsored Enhancements team • Break down technically complex features into understandable, workable units for WEX Health teams • Support applications during and outside business hours • Research issues and service requests and propose solutions • Support evening and weekend production deployments and perform post-deployment validation • Participate in and lead team meetings and feature discussions • Create basic designs for new and existing features • Develop performant, scalable, consistent, and supportable technical solutions • Participate in code reviews across teams • Write testable unit, integration, and end-to-end code and increase unit test coverage • Review requirements, provide feedback, and participate in estimation and prioritization • Collaborate with architects, engineers, QA engineers, business analysts, product owners, support, management, configuration management, database administrators, and other stakeholders • Prioritize performance improvements and technical debt • Apply security vulnerability knowledge and architectural best practices • Design and develop solutions across all environments • Act as an internal subject matter expert for the team’s product domain • Use GitHub SpecKit and structured agentic AI workflows • Select and evaluate AI models based on task complexity and technical constraints • Configure Model Context Protocol servers for secure, context-aware enterprise tool access • Lead AI upskilling and prompt engineering initiatives • Use AI tools for test generation, C# and SQL development, refactoring, security analysis, and technical debt reduction • Govern AI-generated code through code reviews, security scanning, and manual validation • Mentor and onboard Software Engineers • Participate in interviews and provide hiring recommendations • Lead features or components through the full software deployment lifecycle • Distribute work to improve development efficiency • Communicate priorities and dependencies across teams • Ensure successful execution and delivery of project commitments

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of strong C# and ASP.NET MVC skills, SQL proficiency, and DevOps • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field • Experience with tools and programming languages defined by Development Managers specific to their teams • Strong knowledge in Software Development Fundamentals and Process, Design, Documentation, Testing, and tools • Effective in distributed team environment • Strong oral and written communication skills • Hands on experience with automated testing tools to assist with unit testing • Hands on experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
