📋 Description

• Drive operational compliance, fleet availability, and maintenance performance across assigned regional stations • Manage local GSE Managers, internal mechanics, and external vendors • Enforce WFS procedural standards • Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate scheduled and emergency repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems • Troubleshoot on-site and remotely to diagnose GSE discrepancies • Inspect, repair, and overhaul components and systems • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble components to OEM specifications • Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, environmental safety, and regulatory requirements • Interact professionally with internal and external customers • Oversee administrative compliance with operational procedures and corporate standards • Oversee preventative, routine, and non-routine GSE repairs • Assist local management with WFS procedure compliance among mechanics and third-party maintenance providers • Mentor and train current and new WFS mechanics • Support three or more airports and perform up to 50% travel

🎯 Requirements

• Heavy equipment experience required • Experience with airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE) • Proficiency in welding and fabrication • Expert knowledge of CAN bus systems • Expert knowledge of DEF systems • Expert knowledge of EGR systems • Expert knowledge troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems • Ability to travel and support three or more airports • Must be badged at the supported airports • Willingness to work weekends and possibly split days off • Experience with heavy equipment such as cranes, oil field, mining, rail, or maritime equipment preferred • Availability for extended overnight travel • Strong leadership and organizational skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to communicate with customers • Good computer skills and ability to complete internal and customer forms • Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time and work in any weather • Ability to walk short distances, reach above/below shoulder, and handle/grasp documents or office equipment • Ability to sit and/or stand for short or extended periods • Ability to lift, carry, or move objects up to 10 pounds • Regular and punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
