📋 Description

• Lead the strategic alignment, design, delivery, and evaluation of Wikimedia Foundation programs related to community-requested features and fixes • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of request intake programs across teams and departments • Track delivery, establish metrics and milestones, and support teams in achieving meaningful impact • Improve wishlist-level team practices, workflows, and processes • Support community organizations in implementing related programming • Manage budgets, resources, contracts, external vendors, and consultants • Manage teams across functional boundaries, including internal and external teams • Maintain documentation and transparent reporting structures • Communicate portfolio vision and direction to stakeholders • Lead capacity planning, identify gaps, and recommend resource allocation or escalation • Partner with Product and Technology leadership and program stakeholders to align priorities • Build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, movement organizations, and diverse stakeholders • Establish shared understanding of program goals and stakeholder commitments • Design program evaluation plans and develop qualitative and quantitative metrics • Evaluate program success against metrics and milestones • Prepare reports and presentations on program outcomes and progress

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in community management and community service ownership, including a portfolio of past projects led • 8+ years of experience managing multi-stakeholder groups with staff, partner organizations, and volunteers • Proven positive impact on large teams and complex projects while balancing competing priorities and delivering results • Strong program management skills in prioritization, organization, planning, time management, facilitation, problem solving, and decision-making • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills • Executive presentation experience • Ability to build rapport and influence with distributed, multicultural teams and varied communication and learning styles • Commitment to and experience creating a culture of equity, inclusion, and diversity • Ability to navigate complexity and move from ambiguity to action • Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Detail orientation with ability to maintain the big picture • Experience working in an international organization with a distributed workforce preferred • Experience with the Wikimedia community or a movement with strong culture and values preferred • Current work authorization in the hiring location for non-US employees
