📋 Description

• Design and own the operating cadence for the EVP and GM, Research and the Business Management & Strategic Programs team • Run weekly team meetings, executive meetings, monthly business reviews, and board reporting cycles • Serve as a senior operating partner, trusted advisor, and credible proxy for the VP • Drive accountability through initiative registers, commitment tracking, blocker escalation, and follow-through • Lead high-priority special projects involving operating model design, cross-functional alignment, and transformation sequencing • Prepare and quality-control board deck inputs, leadership briefings, and executive talking points • Establish and own the Business Analytics function • Define and maintain KPI frameworks and forward-looking pipeline accountability mechanisms • Build integrated executive dashboards covering pipeline, revenue, commercial signals, and operational performance • Apply advanced analytics to revenue modeling, behavioral signals, and strategic-impact analysis • Partner with Technology & Operations and AI & Data Analytics on data quality, governance, and infrastructure • Use AI-augmented approaches to improve analytics and reporting efficiency • Lead cross-functional programs by defining scope, assembling teams, tracking milestones, and surfacing blockers • Coordinate with Technology & Operations, AI & Data Analytics, Legal, and Finance • Coach Research leadership teams through operating-model and governance changes • Transition validated initiatives into permanent organizational homes with documentation and handoff

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in business operations, analytics, strategy, or a combination • Experience in a senior executive-support or business management role in a large, matrixed organization is ideal • Track record supporting P&L-owning or senior executive leaders • Experience owning operating rhythms, cross-functional alignment, and executive communication • Strong analytical depth, including financial models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks • Ability to translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights • Ability to build and instrument an analytics function from a limited foundation • Experience defining data standards and influencing data engineering teams • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prepare board-level materials and ghostwrite for senior executives • Ability to adapt narratives for diverse audiences • High tolerance for ambiguity and bias for action • Ability to drive structured execution without a defined playbook • Experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs across functions not directly managed • MBA or equivalent advanced degree, or commensurate professional experience is preferred • Familiarity with academic publishing, research technology, open access models, or scientific information is preferred • Experience leveraging AI tools in operations, analytics, and reporting workflows is preferred • Experience working across time zones and cultures in a global organization is preferred
