📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients in the food, land and agriculture (FLAG) sector to identify decarbonization and regenerative agriculture opportunities • Ensure adherence to GHG calculation methodologies and relevant standards • Provide technical advisory to clients on GHG mitigation and agricultural topics • Track the status and direction of the GHG Protocol, SBTi Corporate Net Zero Standard, and SAI Platform • Support the Associate Director, Sustainability Services (Regenerative Agriculture and Climate) • Lead or support client interactions, present updates or deliverables, and conduct research to answer client questions • Track and manage client technical advisory requests on carbon accounting, decarbonization strategies, and climate standards • Prepare client-facing PowerPoint presentations, reports, memoranda, and other communication materials • Complete tasks in a fast-paced, self-motivated environment • Conduct desk research on corporate climate mitigation, nature, or regenerative agriculture leadership standards • Support new business outreach, proposal development, and workplans • Perform basic to intermediate calculations using greenhouse gas and economic activity data • Work with small teams to prepare high-quality products and provide guidance and leadership • May manage two or more junior staff on projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience • Experience managing technical aspects of greenhouse gas accounting in the agriculture field • Field or research experience with soil organic carbon (SOC) and land use change models, greenhouse gas profiles, and mitigation strategies of agricultural commodities • Deep knowledge of climate mitigation strategies in the agricultural sector • Deep technical knowledge of climate standards such as the GHG Protocol Corporate Suite of Standards and SBTi • Experience in client relations • Strong customer/client service orientation • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective public speaking and ability to communicate complex issues verbally and in writing • Working understanding or experience preparing submissions or reporting against corporate sustainability leadership standards • Experience developing or evaluating Life-cycle assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) • Understanding of corporate supply chain management or procurement • Experience using data analysis software and Excel at a basic to intermediate level • Fluent in English • Ability to travel internationally and domestically • Must be authorized to work within the United States • Must reside in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, or Wisconsin • Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred • Knowledge of commodity-specific guidance and best-practice guidance in agricultural value chains is a plus • Fluency in another language is a plus
