📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of complex appraisal assignments from initial engagement through final report delivery • Coordinate client intake, specialist outreach and scheduling, timeline tracking, and invoicing • Serve as the primary client contact, communicating status updates and managing expectations • Draft, edit, and assemble USPAP-compliant appraisal reports • Incorporate specialist valuations, market research, and comparable sale data • Coordinate internal and contractor specialists for valuations, documentation, and object-specific expertise • Perform and support onsite examinations of personal property collections, including photography and cataloguing • Maintain project records in CRM and project management systems • Flag status changes, scope adjustments, and timeline risks • Contribute to process improvements, template development, and workflow initiatives • Assign report production tasks to Appraisal Associates as needed • Partner with Business Development and Advisory to build client and referrer relationships • Support proposals and optimize appraisers’ schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum five to seven years of experience in personal property appraisal, art research, or a related art services role • Current USPAP certification (15-Hour USPAP or equivalent) • Professional designation (ASA, AAA, or equivalent) in progress or achieved • Expert organizational skills managing multiple active project files and meeting deadlines • Expert written communication skills for appraisal narratives and client correspondence • Experience in one or more personal property categories, including fine art, decorative art, jewelry, silver, furniture, or collectibles • High comfort with technology-enabled workflows and digital collection management platforms • Experience with auction databases and art market research tools such as Invaluable, AskArt, MutualArt, and Artnet • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace • Comfort with CRM systems and project management platforms • Ability to travel for onsite examinations as required
