📋 Description
• Communicate with WM drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route for residential, commercial, and roll-off lines of business • Handle incoming service orders and direct drivers • Resolve service issues and interact with customer service, sales, Route Managers, mechanics, and other operational staff • Use WM proprietary software to manage same-day ticket routing and prepare routes for the next day • Dispatch drivers to calls based on customer needs, driver locations and loads, and daily factors • Optimize routes with sites and the service department • Determine daily driver staffing levels to balance responsiveness and productivity • Assign routes and service tickets to appropriate drivers and manage route completion • Handle incoming calls and emails regarding pickup or delivery and container movements • Communicate with customers while drivers are on site to resolve pickup and service delays • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and pickup problems before they become service issues • Ensure same-day service on missed pickups by managing routing and tracking driver movement • Travel up to 15% may be required for face-to-face work with responsible sites
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. • 6 months of relevant work experience in a team setting • Ability to communicate effectively with several areas • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment • Excellent organizational skills • Dispatch, routing, or logistics experience needed • Strong communication and computer skills preferred • Willingness to work flexibly within 3am–7pm Mountain Time operation hours, Monday–Friday, with some Saturdays • Some travel, up to 15%, may be required • Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
