📋 Description

• Lead a team responsible for transportation operations across a third-party supplier partner network in trucking and rail • Drive customer engagement and profit maximization across multiple lines of business • Monitor transportation network processes and procedures and establish programs to improve team performance • Provide direction and expertise on cost-effective transportation service solutions • Develop and implement policies; negotiate rates; onboard and manage supplier performance • Work with customers, suppliers, internal teams, and partners to resolve problems and implement improvements • Engage customers to solicit transportation services and support business development and sales to maximize material volume sold • Liaise with source plant operational staff regarding transportation operations, plant outages, material quality concerns, and personnel matters • Continuously develop, improve, and implement key departmental business processes • Organize and schedule resources; review work for quality, timeliness, and quality control • Oversee departmental personnel needs, including selection, coaching, training, and performance evaluation • Provide input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience • Seven years of relevant work experience in addition to the education requirement • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located • Valid driver's license • Valid and in-state driver's license • Must live and work in the U.S. • Willingness to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business travel
