📋 Description

• Design and engineer complex Microsoft Azure platform solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards • Own and evolve Azure platform domains such as identity, networking, governance, and DevOps pipelines • Integrate hybrid cloud environments using Azure networking and identity services • Lead Infrastructure as Code development using Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI • Advance Azure Landing Zone governance, identity, network, and security components • Implement approved platform standards, engineering patterns, and cloud guardrails • Enhance observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights • Implement cloud cost optimization and financial transparency practices, including tagging, budgeting, and usage analytics • Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud resource utilization and platform performance • Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows • Build automation frameworks for provisioning, monitoring, and operational tasks using AI-assisted engineering tools • Develop reusable templates, scripts, and modules for self-service platform capabilities • Embed governance controls, policy enforcement, and configuration management into automation workflows • Mentor Systems Engineers and technical peers • Support Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery for cloud initiatives • Contribute to the Cloud Center of Excellence through knowledge sharing, documentation, tooling, and best practices • Implement Azure governance controls, secure-by-default configurations, and identity governance • Lead cloud-based business continuity and disaster recovery planning and implementation • Implement highly available solutions with availability zones, automated failover, and cloud-native backups • Evaluate emerging Azure capabilities and recommend platform enhancements • Provide technical guidance on cloud engineering best practices, automation-first patterns, and modern architectures • Make design and implementation decisions within enterprise standards and cloud guardrails • Lead resolution of platform-level performance, cost, reliability, and security issues • Provide engineering input into prioritization of cloud platform work

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred • 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure or platform engineering experience, including recent, sustained hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise-scale Azure environments • Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code; Bicep preferred • Strong scripting and automation experience • Advanced Windows/Linux, Entra ID/AD, and hybrid networking background • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern Git-based workflows • Proven experience with cloud cost management, observability, and performance optimization • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring skills • Extensive governance experience, including Azure Policy, RBAC, and tagging standards • Expertise with ExpressRoute, VPN, and Private Endpoints • Experience supporting modernization, migration, and automation initiatives • Exposure to Azure-native application hosting patterns such as App Services, Functions, or AKS preferred • Strong preference for recent, hands-on Azure platform engineering experience in enterprise environments • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or Azure-native AI capabilities is a plus • Preferred certifications: AZ-305, AZ-400, and AZ-500 • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Resume must include full name, current residential address, email address, and phone number
