📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end test automation strategy across unit, API and end-to-end testing • Define and report measures including coverage, flake rate, runtime and escaped defects • Evaluate test value, remove low-value and redundant tests, including AI-generated tests • Lead the architecture and scaling of the TypeScript Playwright framework • Build and expand automation using AI coding agents • Create prompts, rules, skills and agent workflows for AI-assisted testing • Set review standards for AI-generated tests • Evaluate and pilot agentic testing approaches • Mentor test engineers through pairing, code review and hands-on teaching • Collaborate with Platform engineers to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and deployment gates • Partner with developers to improve testable code and maintain stable UI test attributes and contracts • Communicate quality risks and collaborate with technical and non-technical partners

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in test automation or software engineering in test • Experience designing and owning an automation framework used by a whole team • Production experience with Playwright and TypeScript • Expertise in Playwright fixtures, page objects, network interception, authentication state, parallel runs, tracing and debugging flaky tests • Ability to judge test value and reduce bloated test suites • Hands-on daily experience using AI coding agents such as Cursor or Claude Code • Experience creating prompts, agent configurations and AI-assisted test workflows • Track record of mentoring test engineers, including people transitioning from manual testing to automation • Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language such as C# • Ability to understand a .NET backend with SvelteKit and React frontends • Understanding of JavaScript, async behavior, browsers and test runners • Experience testing REST APIs and managing test data in SQL databases • Experience running test suites in CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps • Strong Git workflow skills, including branching, pull requests and code reviews • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States • Work Truck Solutions does not sponsor H-1B visas • Nice to have: C# testing with MSTest or NUnit, Vitest, SvelteKit or React, Azure, LLM-powered feature testing, performance testing, accessibility testing or visual regression testing
