• Provide strategic leadership, market development, growth and operational oversight for Worldwide's Flex Payments business • Develop and execute the strategic growth plan for Flex Payments • Support Business Development, Proposals and Operational teams in identifying, developing and converting Flex opportunities • Own Flex opportunities from initial assessment through implementation and delivery readiness • Collaborate with Sponsors, Business Development, Finance, Project Management and Operations to develop fit-for-purpose payment solutions • Evaluate sponsor requirements and determine appropriate commercial and operational delivery models • Develop pricing assumptions, budgets, resource plans and implementation strategies • Ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible, scalable and aligned with Worldwide capabilities • Support proposal development, bid defences, sponsor meetings and commercial negotiations • Develop and maintain Flex service offerings, operating models and supporting documentation • Identify opportunities to expand Worldwide Clinical Trials service offerings through strategic payment solutions • Drive continuous improvement of Flex processes, systems, service offerings and delivery models • Develop and monitor pipeline metrics, conversion rates, implementation readiness and operational performance indicators • Align Flex initiatives with broader Clinical Payments departmental objectives • Partner with Finance on business cases, revenue forecasting, investment analysis and growth planning • Establish implementation strategies for awarded opportunities and transition them into operational delivery • Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Accounts Payable and Resource Management teams to support implementation and scalability • Build, lead, coach and develop Flex Payments personnel • Participate in client, sponsor and project team meetings and required trainings • Perform other duties as assigned
• At least 12 years' experience within CRO, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or related clinical research environments • At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role • Demonstrated experience in Clinical Payments, Finance, Operations, Business Development, Proposals or related functions • Experience supporting sponsor-facing commercial activities and proposal development • Experience leading global and cross-functional initiatives • Four-year college curriculum or university degree OR skill sets and proven performance equivalent to above • Advanced written and spoken English • Exceptional leadership skills • Strong commercial and business acumen • Advanced knowledge of Clinical Payments operations and investigator payment processes • Strong understanding of CRO proposal development, budgeting and sponsor contracting • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments and levels of the organization • Ability to work independently and as a team member • Strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment • Ability to exercise independent judgment with sensitivity to decisions requiring executive approval • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines • Strong organizational skills • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word • Knowledge and understanding of ICH, GCP and FDA or EU directive regulations (as applicable) as well as local regulatory requirements • Energetic, diligent and customer-oriented
