📋 Description

• Handle day-to-day operations providing assistance to staff working with insurance matters • Supervise, advise, and oversee posting, collections, and reimbursement functions • Counsel patients and families on financial assistance options • Communicate policies and educate staff on billing issues • Counsel patients on financial and account-management issues • Advise department managers on collection issues • Handle missing charge-ticket lists and generate replacement tickets when needed • Work with pharmacy on appropriate drug pricing • Monitor and update monthly department collection totals • Advise affected areas on diagnoses, prices, and charges for special batches • Participate in selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating employees • Inform employees of departmental changes • Provide coverage during illness and vacations; back up the HMO/PPO Representative • Assist the IBC team with special projects

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education • 5 years of relevant experience • No specific certification/professional license is required • Accounting • Communication • Customer Service • Finance • Health Insurance • Organizing • Problem Solving • Supervisory Management • A driver's license is not required
