📋 Description

• Develop and design training programs, special projects, quality assurance, and compliance training • Administer proficiency tests, competency assessments, and skills checklists • Participate in testing and installation of system upgrades • Conduct training classes and develop course materials • Coordinate and plan new and refresher training courses • Provide education and training for revenue cycle operations applications throughout the healthcare organization • Train new employees and retrain current employees on revenue cycle processing and patient experience, including patient registration, schedule management, insurance eligibility, and point-of-service collections • Generate schedules and educational tracking records for ongoing employee education • Coordinate on-the-job training with employees and management • Deliver training through lectures, demonstrations, case studies, simulations, practical experience, and interactive methods • Coordinate training sessions with skill assessments and quality/productivity monitoring • Coordinate application testing plans with IT • Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Trainer on continuing education and professional growth needs • Contribute to employee performance capabilities and performance management • Monitor quality and productivity • Participate in revenue cycle management quality audits and report findings and recommendations • Inform management of staff training and work quality problems or concerns • Participate in training curriculum and method design and performance improvement initiatives • Attend courses related to performance improvement, system design, technical training, statistical analysis, and healthcare education • Support department objectives, teamwork, committees, task forces, cross-functional groups, projects, and process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • Two (2) years’ experience in revenue cycle (patient financial services/patient access) • Demonstrated ability to produce course outlines and handout materials • Ability to use personal computers including knowledge of Microsoft Office products • Knowledge of adult learning principles and educational theory • Excellent working knowledge of all areas of patient access positions and understanding of their role in the entire revenue cycle • Good oral and written communication skills • Ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions • Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, lifting, grasping and feeling • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to sit for extended periods of time • Visual acuity within normal range • Preferred: Bachelor’s in Business, Education, or Health Care related field • Preferred: One (1) year experience in Training/Organizational Development or employee training activities
