📋 Description

• Manage patients through the healthcare system as part of a multidisciplinary team • Establish relationships with patients and serve as their primary point of contact • Collect and analyze market data to identify payer populations based on regional payer mix • Verify insurance benefits and coverage for obesity treatment • Review payer pre-certification requirements and policies to prevent certification delays • Educate providers and staff on payer regulations to prevent denials • Identify resources and remove barriers to patient care • Coordinate appointments across service lines, including laboratory and diagnostic testing • Schedule and adjust patient appointments, make reminder calls, and manage the patient wait-list • Monitor assigned patients who are admitted, round daily, and assist with discharge appointment scheduling • Assist patients with filling prescriptions and assess cost and availability • Document patient information and obtain outside records • Engage family and community resources to address patients’ emotional, social, and financial needs • Collaborate with social services on financial assistance, entitlement programs, patient benefits, healthcare resource use, and clinical cost efficiency • Perform other department-specific duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, or another related field; or associate’s degree in a related field plus two years of directly related experience; or high school diploma/equivalent plus four years of directly related experience • Three years of healthcare-field experience preferred • One year of statistical data analysis experience preferred • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills • Ability to work with people from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds • Flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to change • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Ability to sit for extended periods • Ability to work in a standard office/clinical environment
