📋 Description

• Schedule, cancel, reschedule, and register outpatient visits and procedures for multiple ambulatory clinics • Obtain and verify patient guarantor information at least annually and generate referrals when needed • Schedule and register patients/customers according to scheduling guidelines and medical appropriateness • Collect all information needed to schedule and register appointments • Identify and communicate scheduling modifications and development needs • Notify appropriate personnel promptly of scheduling changes caused by cancellations • Respond appropriately to patient and staff needs and complaints, involving supervisors and patient representatives as needed • Consult referring physician offices to ensure written or electronic orders exist and obtain them when necessary • Verify outside orders for completeness and document requests • Complete Workques and daily scheduling-area tasks in a timely manner • Respond to patient communications promptly • Escalate immediate needs to the appropriate area of responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent • State criminal background check and Federal criminal background check, if applicable, as required for regulated areas • Ability to sit for extended periods of time • Strong written and verbal communication skills
