📋 Description

• Perform a wide range of financial functions supporting WVU Medicine and the budget process • Perform departmental analysis and reconciliations • Handle billing and accounts receivable analysis • Maintain related contracts for department services • Perform productivity analyses • Build relationships with department managers to coordinate and monitor financial controls over cost centers • Coordinate accounting and financial processes and ensure internal controls are followed • Maintain the general ledger and submit accurate month-end financial data • Lead month-end variance analysis • Oversee and review month-end general ledger reconciliations • Oversee, develop, delegate, and coordinate the work of Accounting Department staff • Develop and submit analytical financial data for department leadership • Prepare financial documentation for budgets and external audits • Assist with budget and external audit reviews • Train new personnel and monitor progress • Complete specialty financial duties, including monthly and consolidated financial statements, bonds, and cash-flow projections • Support performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field • Three (3) years of accounting experience • Ability to sit for extended periods of time • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work with computer databases and spreadsheet software • Strong understanding of Excel • United States work setting indicated by the employer
