📋 Description

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan fostering spiritual development through solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer and understanding God’s Word • Maintain active participation in a church community and the Young Life community • Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development • Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership • Recruit, train, supervise, develop and evaluate area staff and volunteer leaders • Build leadership teams reflecting the community • Model contact work, club, Campaigners and camping to other leaders • Develop yearly ministry strategies and train leaders, team leaders and committees • Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices • Communicate ministry updates and progress to donor partners • Network and develop relationships with principals, pastors, parents and potential committee members • Plan and execute area fundraising events • Attend committee and adult functions and assist with TDS implementation • Lead teams conducting Young Life clubs and Campaigners/discipleship ministries • Implement summer and school-season camping strategies • Serve at a Young Life camp each summer • Manage finances using mission-wide applications • Maintain accurate records on kids, leaders and donors • Provide professional communication to ministry stakeholders • Set and review yearly strategic ministry plans and initiatives • Perform other duties assigned consistent with gifts, experience and area needs

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in direct ministry • Proven relational skills with kids and adults • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Ability to handle camp conditions including heat, cold, dirt, long hours, hiking, horseback riding and boating • Ability to minister to teens of military members • Commitment to Young Life’s Statement of Faith and required staff policies • Must profess belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord • Must be ready, willing and able to fulfill required ministry functions • Must refrain from conduct and statements that detract from Young Life’s biblical standards • Must abide by Young Life policies and practices • College degree preferred
